A real piano, right in your browser.

Play with your computer keyboard

The bottom letter row plays one octave and the top row plays the next, with the black keys on the rows above them — the same layout used by music software. Press Space for the sustain pedal and the arrow keys to move the whole range up or down an octave.

Prefer the classic layout from Virtual Piano sheets? Choose Virtual Piano under Settings → Computer keys: 61 keys from 1 to M, with Shift for sharps.

Questions

Is this online piano free?

Yes. Every feature is free and works without an account or a download.

Can I play the piano with my computer keyboard?

Yes. The letter rows Z to M and Q to P play two octaves, the number row and the middle row add the black keys, Space works as the sustain pedal and the arrow keys change octave. You can also switch to the 61-key Virtual Piano layout in Settings.

Does it work on iPhone, iPad and Android?

Yes. Tap with several fingers for chords and slide for glissando. Use the rotate button to play in landscape while holding your phone upright, or turn your device sideways for a wider keyboard. If you hear nothing on an iPhone, check that the volume is up.

Can I connect a real MIDI keyboard?

Yes, in browsers that support Web MIDI, such as Chrome and Edge on desktop and Android. Open Settings, choose Connect under MIDI keyboard, and play — velocity and the sustain pedal are supported.

How many keys does the virtual piano have?

It has all 88 keys of a concert grand, from A0 to C8. You can limit it to 61, 49 or 37 keys in Settings if you prefer a smaller keyboard.
